today is wilson's "real" birthday although his party isnt until sunday, maybe if he's extra good his mommy & daddy will take him on a brusters run tonight for a special treat. what a true blessing animals can be in ones life.

shrimp tacos & slaw

 shrimp tacos with homemade slaw

what you need....

• 1/2 head Cabbage, Sliced Thin
• 1/2 head Purple Cabbage, Sliced Thin
• 1 whole Jalapeno, Chopped
• 1/2 cup Whole Milk
• 1/2 cup Mayonnnaise
• 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
• 1 Tablespoon Sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon Salt
• 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

what to do...

Combine shredded cabbage and sliced jalapenos in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix milk, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and cayenne. Pour over cabbage. Toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours if you have the time.

we had this last night with the greatest shrimp--some done in lime juice & cilantro and others done in buffalo sauce. both were fabulous!!! 

1 week & counting

its officially one week till wilson's 2nd birthday party! the invites have been sent, the cakes been ordered, the goodie bags are filled & yes, the house is starting to get decorated! 40+ people and a handful of puppies & children we should have a blast! i have put together SO many cute decorations its unreal so I will have lots to share in my post next week!

time flies

between working, parties, traveling, tennis, needlepoint, & embossing...blogging has taken a back seat. however rest assured more great recipes are coming your way soon enough with the holidays.

what i have been working on that i actually love is all of my stamping! one of my first official projects was EJ & Gill's save the dates! many other projects have occurred since, however these remain a fave!
